Uma Thurman and stars go nude at the Bafta Awards!

Stars of the screen braved the weather to go nude on a wet Sunday night at the BAFTAs award ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London.

As the trend for nude coloured dresses quickly emerged, one major Hollywood player rocking the look was Uma Thurman, who presented the Fellowship award to Vanessa Redgrave wearing a stunning light gold Burberry gown.

Claire Danes also jumped on the nude bandwagon, stepping out in a silk, custom-made Burberry frock. She didn't stop to chat, but her publicist thankfully shouted out ‘Burberry' to the waiting fashion journalists when asked the immortal 'What are you wearing?' question.

Jaime Winstone, who wore a nude chiffon vintage Alexander McQueen frock from his Winter 2004 collection, told us: ‘My look is old Hollywood, a 1950s Jean Harlow but with a McQueen edge.'

Precious star Gabourey Sidibe, nominee for Leading Actress, also went nude. Her generous curves were shown to full effect in a Tadashi Shoji gown.

But the nude winner of the night has to be Bonnie Wright, who stars as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter movies and is girlfriend to New Moon actor Jamie Campbell Bower. Bonnie wore a plunging nude Prada gown with matching Prada heels and clutch that worked beautifully on the red carpet. 

She was of course wearing jewellery by Wright and Teague – being the daughter of the two jewellery designers gives you first dibs, I guess...
