Sandra Bullock: I'll get liposuction before the Oscars

Actress will also perfect her English accent

Sandra Bullock has won rave reviews for her role in The Blind Side

Sandra Bullock has joked that she'll have cosmetic surgery ahead of next month's Oscars.

The 45-year-old is up for Best Actress for her role in The Blind Side.

‘I do believe some liposuction is in order, a very strict diet regime, and I will acquire a very light English accent,' says Sandra. 

‘I was going to say that I should start wearing glasses, but I already wear glasses, so I am already sort of there.'

Sandra, who has already won a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award for the performance, was in bed when the Oscar nominations were announced.

‘I was asleep like a little tiny baby,' she tells the Today show.

‘I think it's just so big that maybe when I am about 74, I'll have that moment in a grocery store with my walker and go, "Oh, my God! This year has been mind-blowingly amazing!"'

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards take place at LA's Kodak Theatre on 7 March.
