Amanda Holden opened the Harrods 2009 sale yesterday after owner Mohamed Al Fayed personally asked her to be this year's star guest.
The Britain's Got Talent judge is reported to have received £500,000 for her trouble plus an Alice Temperley dress and Catherine Malandrino coat.
Last year singer Katherine Jenkins opened the sale and was heckled by anti-fur protestors yelling 'Shame on Harrods'.
'Personally I do not eat meat or wear fur, but people are entitled to their opinions,' Katherine, 28, told BBC reporters.
Over 400 anti-fur campaigners from the Coalition To Abolish The Fur Trade also protested outside top stores Gucci, Escada, Versace, Fendi, Joseph and Armani.
