David Beckham modelled for Emporio Armani

David Beckham is set to follow in the footsteps of his wife Victoria and become a designer.

The footballer will launch a new underwear collection next year.

David currently fronts the Emporio Armani undies campaign but his contract is due to end in January when Cristiano Ronaldo will take over.

A rep for David confirms that we can expect the new range to be ready in the latter part of 2010.

‘It is in the very early stages and David is still playing around with a few ideas but it will definitely be going ahead,' he says.

David was paid a reported £10million for his Armani shoot back in 2008.
