They've come from the same Grime scene, but rapper Bashy isn't letting Dizzee Rascal's success get between them.
'We stay in touch, but we're all so busy it's mostly a case of saying "hi" when we're out,' he tells Now.
'I'm breaking the mould and not doing what anyone else out there is doing so I don't compare myself to other artists.'
Bashy, real name Ashley Thomas, is busier than most.
This Sunday, he'll be playing a set to a group of runners in south London taking part in the half marathon Sony Ericsson Run To The Beat.
His new album Catch Me If You Can is out, and he's preparing for starring roles in new Noel Clarke thriller 4,3,2,1.
Bashy's album is up for an award at the MOBO Awards on Wednesday.
'This is a brilliant year for British music and I think everyone who's expected will turn up to the MOBOs this year,' he says.
As well as all that, Bashy has got his own clothing range which he wants to extend to women as well as men.
'The girls keep asking me to make some stuff for them,' he reveals. 'Tyra Banks would be the perfect model, yeah, she would be great for that.'
