NOW PROMOTION If you look cool in glasses, enter this amazing competition
Thursday, 25 June 2009
Have you got what it takes to show the world that ordinary people can look extraordinary in specs?
Specsavers has teamed up with pop star Jessica Taylor and leading anti-bullying charity Kidscape to launch an international competition to find people who love the way they look in glasses.
'I started wearing specs when I was 19 and thought it was great. There's so much choice now and so many fashionable designs and colours,' says Jessica.
'I lead quite an active life but can quite honestly say that wearing glasses has never held me back. If anything, I think that my specs are great accessories and can be an extension of any outfit for any occasion.
‘One of the main reasons for bullying is physical appearance and although my own experience of being a glasses wearer has been positive, I know that some children are still bullied because they wear specs.
‘That is why I am delighted to be supporting Kidscape. The more support we can get for the competition, the more we can change perceptions about wearing glasses and show the world that you should wear your specs with pride.’
Enter Specsavers Spectacle Wearer Of The Year and you could win a modelling contract with Premier Model Management, a fortnight’s all-inclusive premier holiday for two to Barbados or St Lucia. Plus many more prizes to be won.
