Footballer is always thinking about his boys

David Beckham is devoted dad to his sons

David Beckham has hated being away from his family while on loan to soccer club AC Milan.

The footballer moved to Italy while wife Victoria looked after their sons Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, 6, and Cruz, 4, in LA.

David, who returned to the States last month, often went 8 weeks without seeing them.

‘Everyone knows how I am about my boys and how I am as a father,’ he reveals. ‘I try to block it out because it kills me. I know it’s not forever. But in children’s minds, a day is forever.’

David, 34, admits he’s lucky to have the support of Victoria, 35.

‘She knows the reasons I wanted to do it, and she knows how passionate I am,’ he tells BBC show Inside Sport.

‘Of course, she protests. Every wife protests about certain things. We’ll have been married 10 years in July, so we know each other and how passionate we are.’
