Singer-turned-actress dazzles at Dreamgirls premiere

Beyoncé Knowles hit the red carpet in Leicester Square last night for the UK premiere of her new flick Dreamgirls.

She wowed the crowds in a shimmering sequinned Elie Saab gown, but with temperatures plunging towards zero, wasn't she a bit nippy?

'I'm not wearing it for long and it's worth the pain,' the 25-year-old explained.

Her new movie is based on the rise of 60s soul sensations the Supremes and Beyoncé's character Deena is loosely based on their lead singer Diana Ross.

Dreamgirls opens in cinemas nationwide on 2 February.
