Brides-to-be simply cannot miss this exhibition
Saturday, 13 January 2007
If your idea of a nightmare wedding involves meringue dresses and a cake with the happy couple perched on top, take refuge at The Designer Wedding Show.
Forget traipsing around endless bridal boutiques, fashionable brides-to-be will find an array of top designer names all under one roof, including Valentino, Temperley London and Sharon Cunningham (right).
You’ll also find shoes, hats and accessories for that special day and the list doesn’t end there. Cake companies, flower specialists, photographers and even stationery suppliers are on hand so it’s possible to have your entire day sorted in one trip!
As well as stylish stalls, catwalk shows take place throughout the day so you gaze at the gowns in action. One past visitor said: 'A friend warned me not to make any decisions until I’d been to this show and she was absolutely right-everything says "quality". I know that by the end of my day here, I’ll have pretty much decided on everything.'
There’s a complementary shuttle from outside London’s Sloane Square Hotel every 15 minutes to the show, so you don’t have to worry about searching for the venue.
16-18 February, Battersea Park, London
Entry: £17 on the door or £15 in advance
Tube: Sloane Square
