Cheryl Cole channelled Pam Hogg's spring/summer 2011catwalk chic for the first of The X Factor live shows by wearing her hair in a stylish quiff.

And it's a look we're sure the Girls Aloud star will keep reworking.

Chris Lock from Fish, who created the runway quiffs, shares his tips on how to get a perfect quiff.

1. Prep the hair with Sleek Fish High Gloss Serum and blow-dry straight.

2. Spray on Hot Fish Straightening Mist [£3.49] and smooth with straightening irons.

3. Backcomb the fringe and split the hair into three ponytails, one on top of another.

4. Keep the sides sleek with Star Fish Dazzling Shine Spray [£3.49] and finish with a mist of Flexy Fish Spray Wax.
