Actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens looked great with curls at the 2010 Crystal & Lucy Awards: A New Era in California.

Nick Malenko of hairdressers Royston Blythe, at the Dorchester Spa in London, explains how to create her look.

'Blow-dry with L'Oréal Volume Lift Mousse, £8.45, for hold and use your fingers rather than a brush to get lift at the crown,' says Nick.

'Go through random sections with medium size tongs, again using your fingers to ruffle through the hair. Finish with L'Oréal Liss Control Smoothing Serum, £9.90.'
