Richard Hammond was involved in a four-car pile-up on Saturday afternoon.
The Top Gear host's £110,000 Morgan AeroMax was damaged in the crash at a roundabout near Gloucester.
‘He was involved in a minor collision and nobody was hurt,’ says a BBC spokeswoman.
Officers were called to the scene to deal with the resulting traffic.
‘It was all settled between the parties involved who exchanged insurance details,’ says a police spokesman.
Richard, 39, was hospitalised after flipping a dragster at 288mph in 2006.
