Gordon Ramsay has attempted to end his feud with Antony Worrall Thompson.
The chefs have traded insults about one another for years.
But Gordon, 42, offered his support to Antony at last month's Birmingham Good Food Show because they have both experienced business trouble in the past 12 months.
‘He came into the room and said, “I just want to wish you luck,”’ explains Anthony, 58.
‘I was shocked. I said, “Hang on, Gordon, why the change of heart?” He said, “Well, when you're down, you realise you're picking on people and you realise you shouldn't have done what you did.”’
But the truce may not last if Gordon reads what Antony has said about him in Waitrose Food Illustrated.
‘Gordon knows Michelin food but I have a feeling he hasn't got any depth,’ he says. ‘I don't think he reads cook books like they were novels, like I tend to. He's a one-trick pony.’
