The commercial Keira Knightley shot to raise awareness of domestic violence has been banned from TV.
In the ad, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star plays an actress whose boyfriend abuses her behind closed doors.
Regulator Clearcast says it won't be shown in full unless scenes of Keira, 24, being thrown to the floor and kicked are dropped.
Chris Hirst, managing director of Grey London Advertising Agency, says: 'The reason we are still in conversation with Clearcast about it is because they believe it is too violent.
'Part of the point of the campaign is to raise awareness about domestic violence and spark debate, which the advert has done, even if it doesn't make it on to TV.'
The ad, which was first screened in cinemas, is part of a new campaign by Women’s Aid to encourage victims to come forward.
It has been seen by over 1million users on YouTube.
