Hugh Jackman has been unveiled as the presenter of the 81st Academy Awards.
The actor’s appointment marks a departure from the trend of selecting comedians to host the Oscars ceremony.
Hugh will take over from last year’s compere Jon Stewart, 46.
The 40-year-old has had presenting experience from when he hosted the 59th annual Tony Awards in 2004. He even won an Emmy for it.
The Oscars will take place on 22 February.
