Joan Collins is proud of her collections of wigs

Joan Collins was left red-faced after her wig almost blew off earlier this week.

The actress was attending the Pride Of Britain Awards when she was forced to battle blustery winds.

Joan, 75, managed to regain her composure with the help of fifth husband Percy Gibson, 43, to wow the crowds on the red carpet at the London Television Centre.

She has worn wigs since the 1980s when she first appeared on his TV show Dynasty.

‘I still like to wear hairpieces and wigs,’ she said in 2004. ‘Although they’re out of fashion now, if it suits me, then why not?’
