Actor John Bardon returns after suffering stroke last summer
Tuesday, 29 July 2008
John Bardon has retuned to EastEnders after suffering a major stroke last year.
The actor lost the ability to walk and talk in the attack last June.
John's condition was written into the soap and his character Jim Branning has been off screen since last summer.
But he's set to return for a special birthday party episode with grandson Bradley (Charlie Clements), Peggy Mitchell (Barbara Windsor) and wife Dot (June Brown).
John, 68, still had some difficulty speaking while filming the scenes in Elstree Studios.
The episode will air on the 11 August.
