Mark Speight sought help from his therapist on the day he vanished but he wasn't able to get in touch with her.
The TV presenter was desperate to talk to someone following the death of his fiancée Natasha Collins.
But when he turned up to see his counsellor for an appointment she wasn't home. He then realised he'd got the date wrong.
He was found hanging by his shoelaces on 13 April at Paddington Station, 6 days after going missing.
A coroner recorded a verdict of death by misadventure for Natasha, who died in a scalding bath at the couple's London home after a cocaine binge on 3 January.
Mark, 42, was originally arrested on suspicion of her murder and supplying Class A drugs but no charges were brought.
