EastEnders' Samantha Janus breaks her shoulder

EastEndersstar Samantha Janus, 35, who plays Ronnie Mitchell, was rushed to hospital yesterday after falling down a flight of stairs.

She fractured her shoulder after tripping as she was about to leave for work.

The mum-of-two is now recuperating at home and the BBC is having to rearrange filming schedules as Ronnie is in the middle of a big storyline.

'We hope Sam feels better soon,' says an EastEnders spokeswoman.
