If he has to go, Matt says he'd rather die in a car crash
Friday, 31 August 2007
After two years playing Deano Wicks, actor Matt Di Angelo is on his way out of Albert Square.
Matt, 20, will leave the show in November because Phil Daniels (dad Kevin) and Diane Parish (new step-mum Denise) are both quitting the show.
BBC soap bosses will phase out the whole Wicks family, so that means the end of Deano and his sister Carly, played by Kellie Shirley, 26.
‘It was a shock,’ Matt admits to NOW. ‘If I could choose my exit storyline, I’d like us all to die in a car crash. That would be dramatic and something memorable.’
The good news is that Matt will still be on screen until January...and he's single.
‘I haven’t got a girlfriend, so I’m open to offers,’ he says.
