Britain's Got Talent runner-up Susan Boyle gave a heartfelt performance in Birmingham
It wasn't looking good but in the end
Susan Boyle was well enough to appear at Birmingingham's Arena last night for the first show in the
Britain's Got Talent live tour.
Despite having been treated for exhaustion at
The Priory , the 48-year-old from West Lothian sang I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables and Memory from Cats.
Despite losing out to Diversity in the ITV talent contest,
Simon Cowell has reassured the eccentric Scot that she still has the world at her feet.
'Our only priority is
Susan’s recovery,' says a spokeswoman for
Sony BMG. 'What she does next is entirely up to her.
‘When she feels ready to carry on, she will sit down with
Simon and his team and decide the path she will take.’
Simon, 49, is predicting big things for
Susan.‘She’s going to have potentially huge album sales, particularly in America,’ his publicist
Max Clifford tells the Daily Record. ‘Americans absolutely love her.
‘Everyone wants her on their show singing. That gives her massive potential and
Simon will make sure she has the best songs and the best productions.’
