Gary Barlow has been named the Greatest British Songwriter Ever.
The Take That frontman, 38, penned the group’s hit singles Back For Good and Patience and has also written tracks for Blue and Charlotte Church, 22.
Gary saw off competition from Beatles duo Sir Paul McCartney, 66, and the late John Lennon in the survey conducted by One Poll.
‘He has been responsible for some of the biggest hits of the past decade,’ a spokesman for the firm tells The Sun.
