Hollyoaks to launch online soap

Three minute episodes to be broadcast daily

The internet soap will be shown early next year

Hollyoaks is to launch a new online drama which will feature on the show's website.

Runners is based on students working in the entertainment and fashion industries and will be promoted on the Channel 4 soap.

Characters in Hollyoaks will refer to the show and will be seen watching clips on the net.

The 3-minute-episodes will air daily on the Hollyoaks website, Bebo, MSN Messenger TV, Facebook and iTunes.

There are also plans for a 15-minute TV summary of Runners to be shown after the Sunday Hollyoaks omnibus.
