Prep with mousse and lift at the roots
It's time to dig out your straighteners again, girls.
According to top hairdresser Andrew Barton: 'Straight hair is back – but instead of the limp, lifeless look of five years ago, it has lift at the roots and movement through the ends.'
To get the look, as seen on Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Aniston, prep your hair with mousse if it's fine or straightening cream if it's frizzy and blow-dry straight.
Use self-grip rollers to add shape, then run your irons through large sections of hair to get rid of excess bounce. Finish with a spritz of anti-humidity hairspray.
