Charmian’s verdict ‘I’ve only ever had salon talons once and they
were for a tried-and-tested feature. The at-home version looked promising, but I couldn’t perform all the different stages of the process quickly enough and they didn’t look as good as a salon version.

'But who knows – with practice perhaps I could perfect the result. I also tried the stick-on ones and ended up actually preferring those.’
