Beauty trend: Smoky eyes

Smouldering peepers are 'the look' this season - create them yourself with our expert tips...

We've spotted everyone from J-Lo to Paris Hilton showcasing the seductive comeback of the smoky eye. Opt for never-fails-to-impress sexy slate, or freshen up the look with purples or blues.

And the best way to create it? 'For a strong effect the secret is to not completely frame the eyes in black,' says make-up artist Tom Pecheux. Instead, use a cream shadow, which gives a softer effect when using a dark shade.
