We're not exaggerating when we say that Elnett is the world's most iconic hairspray – and this year the superstar turns 50.

To mark its half century, Cheryl Cole will feature in a TV ad wearing three new hair styles. This one is Rock It, shot by the über-cool photographer, Rankin.

The ad hits our screens on 9 May and there'll also be a commemorative limited edition Elnett 50th Birthday Can, £2.24, on sale to mark this big year.

Let's hope Cheryl Cole has a good hairbrush in her bag because even though there's a lot of hold in this hairstyle, L'Oréal claim that their new micro-diffuser technology means Elnett can be brushed out in just a few firm strokes!
