Let's hope it's all right on the night for Oscar-nominated Best Actress Carey Mulligan – especially her hair.
Carey has already braved a dramatic cut, going from long with a fringe to a short pixie cut, after starring as 60s schoolgirl Jenny in coming-of-age movie An Education. She's also gone from brunette to blonde in a matter of weeks, showing off her new blonde look at the Baftas in February.
As Carey told a London newspaper: 'It's been a nightmare. I have dyed it five times in two weeks to try and get it right.'
We all agree that Carey suits the new gamine style crop and the blonde look gives her a more grown-up feel – and hey, blondes do have more fun!
Carey's pixie cut reminds us of the famous crop that actress Mia Farrow sported in 60s movie Rosemary's Baby. Cut during filming by hairdresser of the moment Vidal Sassoon, Mia's style cost £3,300 even way back then!
An Education is released on DVD on 8 March.
