Shakira walked the red carpet at the American Music Awards this week sporting some cute plaits in her hair.

They're a simple way to spice up a ‘do and she's not the only celeb loving the look. 

Alexa Chung went for loose braids at the 37th International Emmy Awards Gala in New York and Whitney Port added tightly-woven twists to hair for the Jimmy Choo for H&M launch party in Hollywood.
