In 2010, Harry auditioned for The X Factor.

He failed to qualify as a solo contestant but was later put into boy band One Direction along with Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne.

The group proved extremely popular with the public and ended up coming 3rd in the competition.

1D released their first song What Makes You Beautiful in September 2011, which topped the charts in the UK and Ireland.

Shortly after, Harry hit the headlines when The Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack - 14 years his senior - became his girlfriend.

They split 3 months later but the heartthrob isn't short of girl attention.
