If there’s one word that sums up the typical Capricorn it’s ‘classy’. People born under this sign just can’t help looking smart even when they’ve thrown on an old pair of jeans to repaint a wall.

They have ‘good taste’ running right through them like the letters in a stick of rock. In the unlikely event of a Capricorn subject deciding to become a WAG, it will only be a temporary, youthful aberration. Tiny mini skirts, fakes tans, ostentatious jewellery, hair extensions, false nails and all the other showy WAG essentials simply don’t fit into the mountain goat mentality.

Capricorn only understands discreet good taste and will much prefer to buy a few expensive, classic outfits than any number of cheap, throw away fashion must-haves. Male Capricorn never looks quite comfortable in anything less formal than a suit.

This is probably because both Ms and Mr Capricorn have always sensed that they’re going places. Born under the sign of the Mountain Goat means that no matter where they start from, these individuals have to climb higher. And since they’re as clever and sure footed as their emblem suggests – very little can get in their way.

Add to this natural nimbleness, the qualities of tenacity, stamina and attention to detail which they receive courtesy of belonging to the Earth element and it’s easy to see why Capricorn doesn’t take long to rise to the top of whatever profession they choose to enter.

Above all, being an earth sign, Capricorn is immensely practical. They see nothing wrong with playing the status game because a, they’re good at it and b, it’s plain that that’s where the money lies and even though money doesn’t necessarily make you happy it certainly makes being unhappy easier to bear!

And on top of all this Capricorn is ruled by the rather sombre planet Saturn – often described as the stern, teacher of the universe. This doesn’t mean that people born under this sign are grim and melancholy, but deep down they are more in tune with serious subjects than frivolity and in fact they do make excellent teachers.

Capricorn is an ambitious sign and there’s nothing wrong with that. What’s more, the good news is that very few mountain goats fail to reach the top.

Capricorn in Love

They say that power is an aphrodisiac and it certainly smells pretty irresistible to Capricorn. People born under the sign of the mountain goat don’t tend to believe in love at first sight.

They’re cautious and pragmatic and won’t give their hearts away without a great deal of thought.

They require their mate to be a partner in every sense of the word – and they are looking for a lover who will also be an asset to Capricorn & Co. Well dressed, well educated suitors with good jobs will catch their eye.

They often fall for older, wealthier partners and they’re suckers for people in authority. Male Capricorn will also expect his woman to be an excellent cook and hostess.

Tick all the boxes though and Capricorn will be faithful and caring – when they finally get home from work that is.

Fellow Earth signs Taurus and Virgo will share Capricorn’s priorities and be able to provide the ideal support to help them reach their goals.
