Scorpio - your character

Kelly Osbourne (born 27 October 1984) is mysterious, intelligent and passionate

Friday, 20 June 2008

Element: Water

Ruling Planets: Pluto and the moon

Lucky Stone: Topaz

Symbol: the Scorpion

There’s something ever so slightly different about Ms or Mr Scorpio. It’s difficult to put into words and yet anyone who comes into their orbit senses it immediately.

These sleek, quietly good looking individuals may not stand out in a crowd – not at first anyway – but that’s only because they have an inner stillness that makes them blend into the background at first glance.

Hang around a little longer and you become aware of a mysterious magnetism that draws the eye, even though Ms Scorpio or her male counterpart doesn’t appear to be doing anything to attract attention.
Somehow, without apparently making any effort at all, these magical creatures will soon be at the centre of an admiring circle.

So what’s the Scorpio secret? Ruled by the deeply serious planet Pluto, lord of the underworld and planet of the emotions, the Moon and influenced by the intuitive element of water, people born under the sign of Scorpio have enormous inner power.

There is far more going on beneath the Scorpio surface than appears on the top, as anyone drawn into their orbit can usually sense.

When they wish, Scorpio people can put aside their easy charm and summon up enormous intensity. They do nothing by halves. In fact they can’t see the point of doing anything so trivial it doesn’t require one hundred per cent effort and commitment. Once they’ve decided on a course of action they’ll never let go until they succeed.

What’s more, their instincts are so sharp it’s almost spooky. Many people born under this sign are genuinely psychic though they’d probably scoff at the very idea. They do however act on their hunches or gut feelings and never stop to wonder why these are almost always right.

Combine all these gifts and Scorpio could be could be a devastating adversary. In fact Scorpio could probably take over the world if she chose to put her mind to it – but for one thing. Being a water sign Scorpio is not really materialistic. Scorpions are more interested in spiritual and emotional goals than in piling up cash or personal power.

So how did Scorpio come to be associated with the Scorpion – which is not exactly a cuddly image after all?

Oddly enough in days gone by it’s thought that this sign was represented by the symbol of an Eagle – possibly in recognition of these subject’s piercingly accurate inner eye which can look straight into the heart of everyone they meet and see in an instant their strengths and weaknesses.

But since Scorpio subjects are also highly intelligent and don’t suffer fools gladly – the biting sarcasm they occasionally employ when goaded beyond endurance, has earned them the reputation for that stinging tail.

Scorpio in Love

There’s only one word for Scorpio in love! Wow! Because when people born under the sign of the Scorpion fall in love their other half won’t know what hit them.

Scorpio is the most passionate sign in the zodiac and when that laser sharp tongue Scorpion intensity chooses to focus on romance, love becomes their whole world – which explains why they are so picky.

Scorpio loves with mind, body and soul, and because of this they won’t give themselves lightly. But the lover who passes the intricate Scorpio tests and is deemed worthy, is rewarded with absolute devotion and a love life so hot it could blister the paint on the bedroom door.

Just don’t mess with a Scorpio lover that’s all. Scorpio can be as jealous as they are passionate. Two time these babes and you’ll get a string you’ll never forget.

Fellow water signs Cancer and Pisces will understand how to help Scorpio calm down and go with the flow.
