Shiny hair, curvy figure, beautiful clothes- Miss Taurus is easy to pick out in a crowd. And if you swap the curvy figure for a pair of strong, broad shoulder, Mr Taurus isn’t so difficult to spot either.
The symbol of Taurus may be the crashing great bull and that’s the bit everyone remembers- but just as important is the fact that Taurus’ ruling planet is Venus, named for the revered goddess of love and it’s from Venus that those born under the sign of Taurus draw their natural grace, beauty and appreciation of the finer things in life.
Taurus people are sensual types in every sense of the word. They’re sexy but they also appreciate every one of their senses even when love is not on the menu.
They like things to look nice, sound harmonious, smell sweet, feel soft and stroke-able and where appropriate, taste good. Get all those things right and Taurus is in paradise.
In fact sometimes Taurus enjoys paradise so much that he or she is apt to overindulge. As long as this doesn’t get to be a habit there’s no problem but people born under the sign of the bull have to beware a tendency to put on weight if they don’t limit themselves from time to time. A good appetite is a sign of abundant health- but given free reign it can degenerate into greediness.
Since Taurus is also an Earth sign, Taureans crave security, which they equate with financial well-being, and for this reason they are usually brilliant managers of money.
In fact some are so good with finances that they end up becoming successful accountants or directors of banks.
Yet even if they don’t follow a career in commerce, they’ll find a way to accumulate a comfortable amount of wealth and they spend a great deal of it on creating a lovely home.
But they don’t just hug their luxury to themselves. Both Miss and Mr Taurus love to share what they’ve got and adore entertaining, lavishing on their guests delicious food, the finest wine and the most beautifully decorated table.
So what’s the bull – not a creature noted for it’s attention to detail or love of beauty – got to do with Taurus? Well that’s where Taurus’ other characteristics come to the surface.
Like the bull, people born under this sign are endowed with enormous physical strength and stamina. They don’t like to be rushed and they tend to move slowly and in a considered fashion. Lightening responses are difficult for them.
But once they accept a task they will see it through to the bitter end, no matter what. They are reliable, they’ll always finish what they start and they achieve an astonishing amount by methodically taking one step at a time, and repeating the process over and over again until the job is complete. Most employers would kill to recruit a large number of Taurus workers onto their staff.
Viewed from another angle though, the legendary persistence of Taurus can also look like stubborness. And there’s no doubt that people born under the sign of the bull can be as immovable as a rock face once they’ve taken up their chosen position.
It would take nothing short of dynamite to shift a Taurus in a really obstinate mood. In the same way, though Taurus is slow to anger they can be a fearsome sight once roused and very difficult to calm down.
Taurus in love
Fortunate is the person who wins the heart of Miss or Mr Taurus. These sexy creatures like to put their lover on a pedestal where they can admire them and show them off proudly to their friends.
They are immensely loyal, can be trusted wholeheartedly once they’re committed and they will work hard to keep their loved one happy.
Just don’t make the mistake of falling off that pedestal. Disappoint or betray Taurus and they’re gone for good.
Fellow earth signs Capricorn and Virgo really understand where Taurus is coming from.
