Natasha Richardson is transferred to a hospital in New York, where her family gather around her bedside.
Her mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson are snapped arriving at the medical centre. Sadly, Natasha passes away on 18 March from an epidural haematoma.
This condition commonly results from a blow to the side of the head. The pterion region, which overlies the middle meningeal artery, is weak and prone to injury.
