2001 - Kym Marsh auditions for ITV show Popstars and angers the judges when she fails to mention she has two young children, David and Emily. Kym, who grew up on 'one of the poorest estates in Wigan', got pregnant for the first time at 18 to boyfriend David Cunliffe.
'I've lived on £80 a week,' she says. 'It's hard when you're in that situation. When you've got two kids and you're living in rented accommodation, it's hard to get out of the rut.'

i think kym is a real down to earth person,,every one has judged her for being a young mum, im a young mum four children by the age of 22 just because we were young doesnt mean were bad mams all the best to kym and her kids,
