Doctor Who past and present: William Hartnell starts it all off
The first Doctor to hit our screens was William Hartnell in November 1963 for a 3-year run until the summer of 1966. During his time he became well know for his ‘Hartnellisms’, where he would reportedly ‘fluff’ his lines.
