Cheryl Cole kept her curves undercover for once at The Pride Of Britain Awards in London. The X Factor judge wore a classic LBD - not a little black dress but a long black dress!

Cheryl teamed her £385 Helmut Lang maxi with Jimmy Choo strappy heels.

The charity event brought out a host of stars and Cheryl wasn't the only celebrity who went back to black.

Daybreak presenter Christine Bleakley sparkled in a one-shoulder sequined black dress from the Project D collection designed by Dannii Minogue.

Dannii also stepped out in one of her own designs - the strapless 'Goldfinger' black dress from the new Project D spring/summer collection – worn with a Mawi statement necklace, Stephen Webster ring and Tabitha clutch.

The WAGs also choose LBDs. Now columnist Abbey Clancy hid her baby bump under a long-line black dress with a side split and a classy blazer. She finished the look with Christian Louboutin leopard print heels.

Coleen Rooney went for a shorter black frock but also chose leopard print accessories - Christian Louboutin 'Madame Butterfly' peeptoes and matching clutch.

It just proves that no matter what the event, a classic black dress never goes out of style.
