Desperate Housewives star reckons it helps Emerson Rose with her maths
Sunday, 31 May 2009
Teri Hatcher has been teaching her daughter how to gamble – to help with her schoolwork.
The Desperate Housewives star takes Emerson Rose, 11, and her own mum Esther horse racing to celebrate Mother’s Day every year.
‘I go to the track with my mother and my daughter,’ Teri, 44, tells US TV show The View.
‘I do use the opportunity to make her understand math, and what you’re betting and what you get back.
‘This year, she did all the winning. I gave her a certain amount of dollar bills and she knew she had to divide them up by how many races there were, and figure out the odds…I made myself believe I was giving her math lessons. So we work on math. It’s fun.’
