Louise Redknapp is enjoying her second pregnancy

A radiant Louise Redknapp is pictured here proudly showing off her growing baby bump for the first time as she relaxes on holiday in Sardinia with husband Jamie.

The glowing 33-year-old, who’s expecting her new arrival in November, is even confident enough to wear a skimpy black bikini.

It’s all a far cry from the trauma of her last pregnancy with son Charley, nearly four, after years of heartache trying to conceive.

It’s also proving to be the perfect tonic for her relationship with ex-footballer-turned-pundit Jamie, 35, which was rocky this time last year

‘Just before they went on holiday she had a scan, but hasn’t revealed the baby’s gender yet,' says a close friend. 'We suspect it’s a girl. She’s got three men in her house – Jamie, Charley and their bulldog. She jokes that a girl would be great: “I’m outnumbered at the moment.”’

Louise tried to conceive for four years before she was diagnosed with endometriosis, which creates excess tissue outside the womb and leads to major infertility problems. Laser surgery cleared up enough of the endometriosis to enable her to fall pregnant.'

For the TV show The Truth About Size Zero, shown in March 2007, Louise slimmed down to a size 0 (UK size 4), but now in pregnancy she’s more like a size 14.

'She intends to lose her baby weight sensibly – she’s hated crash diets ever since filming that show,’ says her pal. 'We also won’t be seeing Louise hurrying back to work. After the birth, she’s taking six months off to concentrate on being a mum.

‘She wants everything to be as normal as possible. She won’t be going in for some fancy labour and she’s not too posh to push.’
