Biography
BAFTA-nominated actress Sienna Miller is a celebrity magazine favourite, thanks to her high-profile relationships and much copied boho-chic style.
Born in New York, Sienna moved with her family as a child to London before returning to the Big Apple to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute.
After modelling for Coca-Cola and Prada, as well as performing in several amateur plays, she went back to London and landed her film debut in 2001 flick South Kensington, with Rupert Everett.
Her star rose in 2003 – with a little help from co-star Jude Law – when filming of the 1966 remake, Alfie, led to some off-screen chemistry between the pair. Jude proposed to Sienna on Christmas Day 2004, but they split in the following summer after the tabloids exposed his affair with former nanny Daisy Wright.
Although the couple got back together briefly, Sienna continued to attract attention without her heart-throb fiancé, making her professional debut in the West End production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It and winning praise for her performances as 60s socialite Edie Sedgwick in Factory Girl and opposite Michelle Pfeiffer in epic fantasy Stardust.
Often vying with Kate Moss for the Best Dressed titles, Sienna cemented her status in 2007 when she was featured on the cover of British Vogue – shortly after launching a luxury clothing range, Twenty8Twelve, with her fashion designer sister, Savannah.
In June 2008 Sienna's latest film – Dylan Thomas biopic The Edge Of Love – was released to general critical approval and in the same month she split with Notting Hill actor Rhys Ifans, who she'd been dating since 2007.
