Peaches Geldof and Max Drummey took their marriage vows in Las Vegas last August

Peaches Geldof and Max Drummey's marriage is over.

The couple, who married in Las Vegas in August 2008, have made an official statement.

'After much soul-searching we have made the mutual decision to end our marriage and have agreed to go our separate ways,' it reads.

'Our parting is amicable and both of us still respect and care about each other immensely.

'There were no other people involved in this decision and we both look forward to a future as good friends.'

Peaches, 19, and Max, 24, had only known each other a matter of weeks before their shock wedding.
