Charlotte Church: It would be awkward if I had to work with Cheryl Cole

Welsh singer regrets mouthing off about Girls Aloud star

Charlotte Church gave birth to son Dexter Lloyd earlier this month

Charlotte Church reckons she’d feel uncomfortable if she had to work alongside Cheryl Cole.

The singer would love to appear on The X Factor - but she’s not sure how the Girls Aloud star, 25, would react if she joined the panel.

‘It would probably be a bit strained because I’ve said some stuff about her and she’s said stuff about me,’ says Charlotte.

‘However, most of it was blown out of proportion by the press and it was such a long time ago. People should change the tune – there are more important things to write about going on in the world.’

But Charlotte, 22, admits she was impressed by her former rival on the ITV show.

‘I thought Cheryl was really good,’ she tells OK! ‘She was ballsy and stood up to the others, which I liked.’
