Just why is Javine Hylton sticking with boyfriend MC Harvey?

After their bust-up on 28 July, when Javine threw his stuff out and he was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill her, the pair have been reconciled.

But every ex-work colleague, friend and former associate of Harvey who spoke to Now last week painted a picture of him being a vain, abusive bully, whose womanising is well known in his social circle.

‘The basic impression everyone has of Harvey is that he’s a sleaze,’ says an insider. ‘While Javine has been at home trying to keep a low profile [with baby daughter, Angel], he’s been going out partying with his mates and lapping up the attention from females.'

Javine and the bad boy rapper - real name Michael Junior Harvey - got together in November 2006 in the worst possible circumstances when he dumped wife Alesha Dixon, 29, for the ex-Popstars: The Rivals contestant.

Did Javine, 26, think he would change - or has low self-esteem made her a doormat? Harvey, who was convicted of assaulting a police officer in January 2005, is often physical with her and overbearing when he is at home.

'Javine knows about many of his indiscretions,' says our source. 'But she’s so blinkered that her attitude is: “He’s always coming home to me so I don’t mind.”’
