David Hasselhoff has emergency eye operation

Baywatch star treated over the weekend

David Hasselhoff has been rushed to hospital to have something removed from his eye.

The 55-year-old Baywatch star was taken to the University of California Los Angeles Medical Center on Saturday.

He was released last night and is said to be recovering well.

'He's fine. He had something removed [from his eye],' his publicist Judy Katz tells Associated Press.

No further details were given.
