Madonna (Dog) and Guy Ritchie (Monkey)

According to Chinese Astrology a Monkey and Dog can form a good marriage. However, a clever Monkey man does not like to be outdone by his wife. Dogs value loyalty, so for this union to last Madonna, 50, needs to let Guy be the boss and give him plenty of room to show off his talents. Guy celebrated his 40th birthday in the Rat Year and, as we move into the winter months, he'll want to take stock of his life. Although generally supportive of is wife, he might want to take centre stage for a while. If the spotlight shifts onto him, it will bode well. Otherwise, he could feel like a crazy Monkey being hounded.

Amy Winehouse (Pig) and Blake Fielder-Civil (Dog)

Dependable Dog Blake and affectionate Pig Amy have been physically separated by Blake’s time in jail, which puts an enormous strain on their relationship. For this pair to share a happy future together they need to tackle issues around who depends on whom (or what) and to avoid getting bored. Amy celebrated her 25th birthday without Blake, 27, who is still be behind bars. The rest of the rat year will see this pair carry their torches for each other even whilst apart.

Victoria (Tiger) and David Beckham (Rabbit)

Whilst David can kick the football hard on the field, he is a gentle Rabbit according to Chinese astrology. Victoria is a sensuous Tiger lady and the more dynamic of this duo. Rat years bring good luck to Rabbits and David, 33, was clearly a star in his element of sport at the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. Not to be outdone Victoria, 34, has got herself a drastic haircut. This pair are always competing for attention! As for the patter of tiny feet, there won’t be any news on the baby front in the Rat Year. But an announcement in Ox year (2009) for a baby Tiger in 2010 could well be forthcoming.

Tom Cruise (Tiger) and Katie Holmes (Horse)

A Tiger and Horse marriage is a harmonious combination, but being apart when they are working in different locations brings a lot of nervous tension into this relationship. Rat years tend not to be so lucky for Horses or Tigers and with Katie being away from home working on her Broadway play in New York, there are bound to be a few fraught moments for Tom, 46, and Katie, 29, this year.

Brad Pitt (Rabbit) and Angelina Jolie (Rabbit)

Both Brad, 44, and Angelina, 33, are born in the year of the Rabbit, with Brad, 44, so is it any surprise that this couple have such a large family? The latest additions are twins Knox and Vivienne, born in this rat year. A Rabbit-Rabbit relationship is peaceful and practical, yet when one bunny feels he or she is pulling too much weight they will need to escape the warren for a while. Rat years bring good luck to Rabbits and the birth of twins is particularly auspicious.

Prince William (Dog) and Kate Middleton (Rooster)

Although both born in 1982, Kate’s January birthday means she was born in the year of the Rooster, since the Chinese Astrological year starts in February. Those born under the sign of the Dog like 26-year-old William value loyalty and Rooster Kate knows how to stay cool, unruffled and true. In not pursuing a career, Kate, 26, is being a controversial modern woman, although you could argue she has turned being in the public eye into a full-time role and Roosters love attention. Rat years can ebb and flow for Roosters, but Ox years tend to be quite auspicious so 2009 could herald the announcement of a Royal engagement.

in india its vedic horoscope matching before marriages ..but there r so many fighting couples..so i think chinese zodiac is so right to know the psychological make up of any person. am a metal rooster nd i hate snake gals cause they r so cunning,ruthless nd selfish,artificial.
