Reality star goes to the facility to manage her depression
Wednesday, 16 July 2008
Kerry Katona has likened her time in rehab to a holiday camp.
The former singer, who was treated for depression at The Priory in March, makes the admission on new MTV show Kerry Katona: The After Birth.
‘It had nothing to do with drink or drugs,’ she tells the cameras. ‘It’s like a holiday camp at The Priory, it’s like going to Butlins for the weekend. It’s a place to recharge your batteries.
‘People think The Priory is just about drink and drugs but they have people with different illnesses there. I was the only celebrity.’
Kerry, 27, who has bipolar disorder, also rebuts claims her husband Mark Croft, 37, cheated on her and admits she wants plastic surgery, reports The Sun.
‘I’m going to get a brand new body, I hate going to the gym to do it,’ she says. ‘I’m going to have liposuction.’
Kerry Katona: The After Birth airs on MTV on 27 July at 9pm.
