Paul Gascoigne has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act following his arrest on Wednesday at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead.
The former England star - known as Gazza – had earlier been a guest at the Malmaison Hotel where it is alleged he grabbed a night porter by the neck and set off fire alarms.
The Sun reports that Gazza had been holed up in his room with battery-operated parrots which he'd programmed to say 'F*ck off' to other hotel guests.
‘We attended the Hilton Hotel after receiving a report of concern for a 40-year-old man staying at the hotel,’ a police spokesman tells the Daily Mail.
‘The man was detained under the Mental Health Act and no one was injured during the incident.’
Meanwhile Paul's step-daughter Bianca, 21, had some trouble of her own on Wednesday night.
She was snapped falling to the floor after being refused entry into Kylie Minogue's Brits after-party at Movida.
