Fern Britton is looking slimmer than ever

Fern Britton's amazing transformation - dropping a whopping 5st in 2 years - is hard to miss.

When she stepped on stage to present The British Soap Awards in London on 3 May, she looked slimmer than ever. At the previous year’s event, the star had dropped from a size 22 to an 18, but 12 months on, she’s lost another 2st.

Thrilled with her new look, 50-year-old Fern’s even decided to ditch the body doubles in her new Ryvita campaign, which kicks off this week. Instead of the computerised special effects that saw her head being superimposed on to a model’s body, Fern’s eager to show off her own figure.

‘Fern’s lost a lot of weight by cycling, walking the dog and not eating too much,’ husband, TV chef Phil Vickery, 47, has confirmed,

Looking thinner than ever at 14st and a size 14, the mum-of-four’s secrets include swapping cream for crème fraîche, saving 140 cals per serving.

Firmly committed to her new regime, Fern’s currently training for a 370km charity bike ride in Cuba for charity Women For Women this November.
