Dancing On Ice star Jeff Brazier was one of the few guests at Thornton Chocolate's centenary party who could dive into the twin chocolate fountains (one white, one brown - total bliss as far as Now Let's Eat page is concerned) without fear of the consequences.
‘It's brilliant!' said Jeff, ‘I'm literally just stuffing myself stupid with all the food I want because I know I'll burn it off on the ice.'
The Biscuit Tin bar at Shoreditch House, London's coolest private members club, scene of Madonna's 52nd birthday party and adored by the likes of Mel B and Heidi Klum, was decorated up like Willy Wonka's Factory.
There were candy-striped ribbons, outsize dishes of chocolate, sweeties dangling from the ceiling and a life-size robot with mixing bowl that dispensed choccies in exchange for silver coins.
‘It looks amazing,' said Jeff, dipping a large ripe strawberry into the chocolate fountain.
‘I try to eat healthily and always keep chopped vegetables and herbs in the fridge but it's good to have a treat now and then.'
Jeff likes to make easy chocolate refrigerator cookies with his sons.
Melt 400g of chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water. When melted remove from the heat and stir in 200g dried fruit of your choice, chopped apricots, raisins or whatever you prefer, 200g pieces of broken biscuits and nuts.
Stir into the chocolate. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper, spread the chocolate mix over the paper and refrigerate until firm.
Then mark into squares with a knife and break into individual cookies when fully set.
And as for the rumours of romance between Jeff and ice dance pal Kerry Katona, Jeff says it's just a figment of someone's over active imagination.
