Alan Titchmarsh's Cherry Cheesecake

Every woman's favourite gardener shows us how he makes every woman's favourite dessert

Ingredients

115g/4oz digestive biscuits
75g/3oz margarine
225g/½lb Philadelphia cream cheese
100g/3½oz icing sugar
Dash vanilla essence
150ml/¼pt double cream
1 can cherry pie filling

Method

1 Melt the margarine in a pan. Crush the biscuits and add to the pan to make the base.
2 Beat all other ingredients together. Pour on to the biscuit base.
3 Add the cherry pie filling on top.
